Sometimes it can be necessary to add or remove Savant systems from you iOS device.
1) First, confirm you are connected to your local wifi connection. For assistance with wifi please visit: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202639.
A) To add the Savant system to a new device:
- Select your system name under local systems
- Enter your system password
You do not need to press the "+" sign to add the system. If you are connected to wifi the system will automatically show up under local systems.
B) To remove or reinstall Savant systems from your iOS device follow the steps below (see pics):
- Click Settings, then Systems
- Swipe left over the local system name you want to remove and press delete
- Select your system name under local systems to reinstall.
C) To remotely add Savant systems from your iOS device follow the steps below (see pics):
***This is not a common step; however, if you are away from your home or office, your Savant system is not showing up and need remote access you can try these steps. If your iOS device is physically in the same home or office with the Savant system you do not need to follow these steps.
- Click Settings, then Systems
- Click the plus symbol
- Type in your Hostname. This is normally in the format [last name][first initial]house.dyndns.org. Example: marleybhouse.dyndns.org
- Enter the port 8081, 8082 or 9800 depending on your system. Unfortunately this varies from system to system so its trial and error unless you want to contact us for the exact port.
