I have a device that isn't controlling

"I have a TV, cable box or other component that isn't controlling as expected."

First, check to see if the IR emitter is properly stuck to the component in question.  An IR emitter is a small plastic part with an attached wire that transmits control signals to the component.  It must be stuck to the component in a specific location in order for it to be controlled.  If the emitter has fallen off it needs to be stuck back to the component in question. 

Second, many components need to be reset on a regular basis.  Try to unplug the power cord to the component in question. If you have a Client Care Plan, simply email us and we will attempt to reboot the component remotely.
